You may refer to the 6th Statute of IIIT Delhi, notified via the Delhi Gazette on 17th July 2008, wherein the tenure of the Director is said to be 5 years.
Dr. Ranjan Bose's tenure has crossed the 6th year as of date. The students have not been notified of a new appointment.
1. Please provide copy of letter approving Dr. Bose's re-appointment as per Statute 26.9 notified via the Delhi Gazette on 9th November 2011.
2. Please provide copy of gazette notification notifying Dr. Bose's re-appointment.
3. The Registrar has not issued any notification as per Statute 26.10 to the students and shareholders. Has this been done, kindly provide the copy of this notification.
In conclusion, the Director has either overstayed his tenure in contravention of Statute 6 of IIIT Delhi, or the Registrar has failed to issue a notification in contravention of Statute 26.10 of IIIT Delhi. Both are, serious failure(s) of duty as a government officer and action must be initiated as per extant regulations.
4. If any action has been taken on the same, provide copy of notes/show-cause notice(s) issued hence under this matter.
