Are there any rules or policies issued by the Ministry of Education to ensure attendance of students at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc)? Recently, the Department of Electronics Systems Engineering (DESE) at IISc has implemented a fingerprint system to track student attendance. If a student fails to punch in on the fingerprint system, their stipend is deducted.
