Many IPS officers are posting videos on YouTube (channel created with their own names) and other social media channels while carrying out official raids/inspections.

1. Whether MHA has granted permission to IPS officers to create social media channels and post raid/inspection videos.

2. If yes, kindly furnish list of IPS officers who have been granted such permission.

3. If no, please intimate action taken against such IPS officers for misconduct.

4. It is understood that IPS officers take oath before joining duty that they shall not disclose official details/official functioning and maintain confidentiality as per Constitution of India.

Conducting raids and inspections fall under 'confidential' category.

Please furnish certified copies of all instructions/circulars/OMs issued by MHA which mentions about refraining from creating and posting videos while discharging official duties.
