Earlier it was brought to the notice of DPE that a PSU employee who is placed under suspension (where the gravity of charges is much more higher including corruption charges, criminal charges and/or financial irregularities, embezzlement, etc.) is entitled to draw subsistence allowance for livelihood.
However, an innocent employee who is unable to attend office physically due to compelling circumstances beyond control is starved of finances by paying zero/NIL salary for unauthorized absence/no work no pay which is not a serious misconduct.
DPE had informed that action is being taken to remove this disparity.
