Kindly refer to information furnished by PIO in respect of reference number- FSG/RTI/2024/69 (Copy enclosed)

It is noticed from the photographs supplied by PIO pertaining to Tower 13, AVL 36 Society, Sector 36, Gurugram, Haryana that residents have kept bicycles, shoes/sandals, etc. in the common area which may act as obstacle/hindrance in smooth escape during emergency situation, especially for persons with disabilities and those on wheelchairs.

The bicycles, shoes/sandals, etc. are continued to be kept in the common area even after inspection by fire authorities.

In this regard, kindly furnish the following information:

1. Photographs of all floors of Tower 13 (only photographs of some floors are provided).

2. Details/receipts of fines/penalties imposed on residents who have kept bicycles, shoes/sandals, etc. in the common area which is blocking means of escape, especially for persons with disabilities and those on wheelchairs.

3. Copy of instructions issued to RWA to get the bicycles, shoes/sandals, etc. removed with immediate effect and action taken details by RWA thereon.

4. Kindly furnish photograph of 6th floor/Tower 13. It is understood that one huge flowerpot and bicycle is permanently kept on 6th floor staircase which is blocking means of escape.

5. Whether as per rules, bicycles, shoes/sandals, flowerpots, etc. are allowed to be kept in common area/staircase/means of escape. Furnish cooy.

6. In case of emergency, how can persons with disabilities and those on wheelchairs escape as lift cannot be used. 

7. Name & designation of fire officer who will be held responsible and accountable in case of any mishap.

NOTE: - I am enclosing a self-attested Xerox copy of my Voter ID card as proof of my Indian Citizenship. The address that appears on my voter ID card is my residential address, I am filing the RTI request from my office address.
