In accordance with the provisions of the Right to Information Act, 2005, I kindly request access to information related to disciplinary actions regarding employees' unauthorized absence in office of Central Excise and Service Tax Commissionerate, Aurangabad in the last ten years (2013–2023).
Specifically, I seek the following:
1. Records indicating the total number of employees against whom disciplinary action was initiated due to unauthorized absence during the last ten years.
2. The process under which salary is withheld under Fundamental Rule 17(1), specifically addressing whether prior notification to the employee or issuance of a formal chargesheet is required before such action is taken.
3. Information on instances where an employee’s salary was withheld before the issuance of a chargesheet in these cases, and whether such an action is permissible under the applicable rules or regulations.
