As per government guidelines, maximum 50% physical attendance of employees was allowed below a certain level.
However, Airports Authority of India located in Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan Sagdarjung Airport New Delhi issued circular around September 2020 (available on its website) asking 100% employees to attend office physically at all levels due to which many employees contracted COVID-19 disease and lost their lives, as also their family members.
(1) Please intimate whether any FIR is lodged and action is taken against concerned officers of AAI for not only violating government guidelines but also provisions of Disaster Management Act and IPC u/s 188, 269, 270, 302, 307 and 506 as well as Epidemic Diseases Act and CrPC.
In this regard kindly refer to news titled "FIR registered against school principal, her deputy for COVID-19 related death", contents of which are self explanatory.
(2) If not, by what time FIR will be registered and action will be taken as per rules/law.
(3) Whether any magisterial inquiry has been held for violation of COVID-19 guidelines and SOPs by AAI officers which has led to death of several employees (serving and retired) as well as their family members.
(4) If not, by what time inquiry will be held and action will be taken as per rules/law.
