Respected Sir,
As you know, out of 149319 candidates who were declared eligible for SSC CGL 2016 Tier 2 46422 were from general category. Out of these 46422, 28171 were OBC, 5057 were SC, 1257 were ST, 475 were ex-servicemen, and 186, 28 & 23 were from OH, HH, and VH categories. Hence general candidates were actually only 11225 out of 149319, i.e. 7.5%. This is ridiculously small! This is also the violation of Supreme Court judgement which mandates the representation of general candidates to not go less than 51%. Similarly, in the result of tier 2, out of 15030 qualifying candidates, general were 5850, i.e. 38%.
Are these low representation within rules?
