Background

National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) vide it's RTI reply dated 15.09.2022 F.No.61/1/2020-Ad.I(B)/NCRB has informed that there are 31 sub-inspectors posted in Central Finger Print Bureau, NCRB as on date.

However, NCRB has no information/record pertaining to annual property returns filed by these sub-inspectors during last 3 years.

1. Please intimate action taken in this regard as the same is a violation of Lokpal/CVC guidelines as well as service rules.

2. Please furnish copy of direction issued by your office to NCRB to get the annual property returns filed by sub-inspectors and place the same in public domain, as many sub-inspectors are alleged to have in possession assets disproportionate to their income.
