This refers to the news titled "IPS suspended for absence from work" published in Times of India on 28.04.2022 (available on internet) which, interalia, mentions as under:
"The state government on Wednesday ordered the suspension of an IPS officer of 2008 batch in UP cadre, Alankrita Singh, on charges of indiscipline. The home department confirmed the suspension of the officer, who was absent from the workplace without information from October 2021."
In this regard, please furnish following information:
1. Whether employees in AAI who are on unauthorized absence are suspended as per rules or not.
2. If not suspended, intimate reasons as recorded in files.
3. Whereas employee is suspended for unauthorized absence in the above case, those on unauthorized absence in AAI are not suspended. Please furnish reasons for the same and applying rules differently.
4. Also furnish copy of rule position with regard to suspension of employees who are on unauthorized absence.
