1. Provide the sources and amount of money raised via each source(each sponsor/college funds/other sources) for the annual cultural fest, Taarangana 2023 edition. Furnish a complete list of the sponsors(and money raised via them individually) and other sources.
2. Provide the total expenditure borne by the institution in conducting Taarangana 2023 edition. Furnish relevant breakdown of the expenditure i.e., how and where the money was spent.
3. Furnish relevant copies of official orders/notifications issued by the VC, Pro-VC(s), Registrar, Controller of Finance, or the Deans in regard to Taarangana 2023.
4. Provide the name(s) of the entertainment company(ies) which was responsible for organising events during Taarangana 2023, if any. (the finances involved regarding this should be mentioned in Q2)
5. Provide the number of any grievances or complaints received during the Taarangana 2023 and the actions taken to address them (if action is pending, 8(1)(h) may be cited).
The Hon'ble CIC has ruled in decision vide CIC/SG/A/2009/003128/7504 and complaint that CIC/WB/C/2006/00176 that "A contract with a public authority cannot be categorized as 'confidential' after completion.". Hence, Section 8(1)(d) of the RTI Act, 2005 cannot be invoked in Q1-thru-5. This is to bring forth transparency in how college fests are organized.
