7. Lung cancer attributed to exposure to asbestos. 8. Bronchogenic Carcinoma 9. Mesothelioma

10. Any other condition or diseases associated to asbestos (including ovarian and laryngeal cancer linked to asbestos)

You are kindly to note the following:

1. The Information has to be provided within 30 days of the receipt of the information under Section 7(1) of the Right to Information Act, 2005.

2. DOPT has introduced the concept of Nodal RTI Office. In this regard, the nodal rti officer has to analyse and apply his or her mind and either arrange for the information from the PIOs or transfer the application under Section 6(3) of the RTI Act under intimation to the application within 5 days. This has been reaffirmed in WPC 900 of 2021 Rakesh Kumar vs CPIO Delhi High Court which stated that PIO cannot act as post office and has to apply his or her mind.
